About Us

Global Link has secured extended funding for up to 20 schools in the North West who would like a global artist to visit their school.

During 2011, Global Link subsidised 40 schools in the North West £100 towards a global dimension artist to deliver workshops. This funding has been extended until July 2012 and is limited to 20 subisidies.

The funding is provided for artists to address any of the eight key concepts of the global dimension

  • Diversity
  • Sustainable Development
  • Human Rights
  • Social Justice
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Global Citizenship
  • Global Interdependence

For Schools

Make contact with an artist from the Global Artist Network (please see our directory for a list of artists). Arrange the school visit with the artist. Download and return your completed application to Global Link.

On the day of the workshop you will need to download and complete an evaluation and assessment and return to us before we can send you the subsidy. See details below.

For Artists

Download and complete an application form to be included on our Global Artist Network. Once accepted, you can let schools know about the network, the issues and the funding available. If they are interested, ask them to apply for a subsidy and set a date for your workshop.

Visit the Global Link website for more information about the global dimension in schools.

Evaluation and assessment -

If you have been allocated a subsidy, please see the information below with regards evaluation and assessment.

The aim of this project is for young people to develop an appreciation of diverse art forms and a greater understanding of the global dimension through direct work with artists.

You will be required to complete two short evaluation forms for teachers and pupils for each session. Evaluation forms will be forwarded with your successful application, however you can also download the forms below (PDFs).

Please contact Dan or Serena at Global Link if you would like further information about the project.
